Punta de Mita, Nay. (March 31, 2010) – Over 65 enthusiastic supporters joined PEACE, a local non profit, to help raise over $5,000USD to support educational, environmental, animal and business programs in Punta de Mita in the second annual Art and Philanthropy Gala at the Four Seasons Resort last month.

The Mexican themed evening included a buffet, live music by the Frixoleros, a moving video describing PEACE’s impact in the community, an art exhibition from local women and a silent and live art auction.

“This event not only raised significant funds for us, but was truly inspirational”, said Molly Fisher, founder and director ofPEACE. “It’s so encouraging to see the interest and generosity that is linking the expat and local communities together to better the town we all love and call home.”
