Jack Nicklaus to Inaugurate Punta Mita’s Signature Bahia Golf Course
Jack Nicklaus to Inaugurate Punta Mita Bahía Signature Golf CourseDine is pleased to announce the official inaugural event of the Punta Mita Bahía golf course by Nicklaus Signature Design. The two-day celebration of Punta Mita’s new crown jewel will take place November 15 and 16, 2009. In attendance will be course designer and golf legend Jack Nicklaus, to join in the festivities and hit the “official” inaugural drive from the first tee.Although Club Punta Mita Members have already been enjoying play on the challenging Bahía course since November 2008, this event will mark the official opening of the course. Reviews from the press are already earning the course accolades. An outstanding course to play, Bahía is notable for its rolling terrain and complex undulating greens. Complementing the challenge are spectacular vistas along the fairways, including five Oceanside holes.
Planning is now in place for the festivities, but one item firmly on the agenda is a golf tournament on the Bahía course on November 15, to which all Members will be invited to participate. Mark your calendars now to be in Punta Mita during these dates! Details and a full agenda will be sent to all Club Punta Mita Members in the coming months.
