Located within the world-renowned Punta Mita Resort in Nayarit, Mexico, the goal of the St. Regis was to create an exclusive 5-star destination resort targeted at capturing an international market and improving tourism in the region.

The property is located at the northwest point of Punta Mita flanked by two Jack Nicklaus signature finishing golf holes. The project consists of a 120-key, 5-star hotel, 40 luxury fractional units, 15 full ownership villas, 3 pools and a world class spa and treatment facility that capitalizes on the local culture, heritage and natural beauty found in the region.

Exteriors and interiors flow together making nature the most important component. The landscape is designed in a series of “outdoor rooms” or scenes guiding guests from one space to another. Each area has a different composition of textures, forms and colors that trigger the senses.

EDSA was responsible for the development of a conceptual master plan, creation of the vision for the development and full detailed design services including on-site construction observation. Fairmont Mayakoba and the The Landings, St. Lucia, both designed by EDSA, were also ARDA Award finalists.

With 200 professionals representing 25 countries and projects in over 90 countries, EDSA has the experience, cultural diversity and resources required to work effectively in the global arena creating environments that are rich in character and detail.

By balancing ecological, cultural and economic interests the Firm provides sustainable solutions for long-term efficiency while enhancing the overall aesthetics of a development. Established in 1960, the Firm has extensive experience in the creation of successful resort destinations, mixed-use districts, residential communities, urban waterfronts and entertainment venues. EDSA is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and has offices in Orlando, Florida; Beijing, China and Baltimore, Maryland.
